"I busted open the packaging, and shoved it into the VCR. To be honest, I was skeptical at first because I didn’t know what to expect. But after watching the first trick, I knew I was into something good... very good. And it only got better.
"Then, I had to find my "dummy. " Someone that was willing to sit through attempt after attempt, until I was ready for the "real world." I know that I won't ever forget when the glass on the dinner table disappeared. My dad’s eyes were almost as big as the half dollar that was in my pocket, ready to be used for my next move. I soon found out that this look was common.

"Then I rose off the ground, about 3 inches. I stumbled, almost falling over. “It took all the energy out of me" I replied. They watched, amazed, and the teacher (an educated man of PHYSICS), stumbled just as I did. “I think I may have broken some of Newton’s laws," I said softly. The teacher looked at me with eyes like those of my father’s.
"Throughout that day, I performed several tricks I had learned and received similar looks. Those huge, bugged- eyed looks are scary at first, but take my word, you get used to them.

Her mother said that she had seen David Blaine do something similar one time… but that she thought that it was just a simple trick (which of course it is)… she said that she “now believed that there really was something supernatural going on”.

"I work in a grocery store, and I knew that I could not have picked better people to amaze.
I decided to start with my friend Carlos. I had actually been "going on" for a long while about the tricks I "knew" so well. (But at that time, I really didn't know the tricks at all. I had honestly only seen the web site for the first time that day.) And from that day on Carlos had been asking me to do the tricks - and he was getting tired of my excuses. But he soon forgot about the whole thing.
But then the day came for my performance. In the back room, I pulled the deck out of my apron. I could see his eyes light up, and I knew that this the beginning of something good.
As I took the deck out I watched his eyes. He was watching every move my hands made, and I knew I was going to have to be perfect because of it. He was waiting for me to screw up, he wanted to prove this whole magic thing wrong. He was just one of those people.
I explained the trick. It was simple, just put the cards in two piles. One pile being the black cards, and the other being the red.
I explained to him that the hard part was, that HE had to do it with the cards FACE DOWN AND NOT LOOKING AT THEM!
He gave a little laugh, and gave an OK. I handed him the deck. "Just do what your mind tells you to," I reminded him. Soon the piles were complete.
Anyone could see there were doubts in his eyes.
I asked him to flip the first card. Black. The next card - also black. Black. Black. Black again. Again. His face turned sour.
Instead of flipping them over one at a time like I asked, he turned them all over at once. He shot out of his chair, yelled a little something, and then just walked out the door. Unfortunately, he never gave me the chance to show him that the second pile of cards were the same - except all red.
In that day, I did a few other tricks to other coworkers. They screamed, yelled, shrieked, hit their heads, and all the other stuff that people do.
I don't know why, but Carlos doesn't want to see any more of my tricks. I think it is the fact that he represents that group of people who are "never wrong". But when a trick like this is laid upon them, well, it's just too much to take."
